HOCKEY COACH LEVEL ONE AWARD

The training which supports the Level One Award is designed to give potential coaches the confidence and knowledge to introduce and develop the game with players in a safe, enjoyable manner. A qualified Hockey Coach Level One will be able to:

· introduce the game in a safe, enjoyable manner

· work as coach and/or assistant coach

· introduce and improve game playing skills

· use small sided games to introduce the principles of play

WHO CAN APPLY?

The content is specifically for those requiring an introduction to coaching. Candidates should have playing experience, a leader’s certificate or be involved in teaching/coaching the game at a basic level. This includes primary school teachers, club volunteers and helpers, parents, players, umpires, newly qualified teachers and anyone aged 18 years and over who wants to become involved in coaching.

WHEN ?

Induction Evening : Thurs 25^th November 04 7:00- 10:00 pm

Practical : Sundays 28^th November 10:00 - 5:00 pm

Sunday 5^th December 10:00 – 5:00 pm

Sunday 12^th December 10:00 – 5:00 pm

Assessment : Sunday 12^th December
